Bingo Tuesdays at Bennington Moose

BENNINGTON -- Bingo is held Tuesdays at the Bennington Moose. Doors open at 5 p.m. Story time at Cheney Library

HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Cheney Library will have story time for preschoolers and their caregivers on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Several of the classic tales and songs. There will be crafts and snacks. Plan to come with your preschool child; it will be lots of fun for both of you.

Overeaters Anonymous meeting

BENNINGTON -- Overeaters Anonymous meets on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at the Bennington Free Library, 101 Silver St.

Bereavement support group

BENNINGTON -- Weekly adult grief support for those who have lost a loved one, every Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Vermont Veterans Home on North Street.

Meditation for Everyone sessions

BENNINGTON -- Meditation has been practiced for millennia, and is a way for the mind to begin to know itself. This knowing moves us towards freedom, self-acceptance, kindness and compassion. Our hearts become more open. We move towards happiness. Please join us Tuesday evenings from 7-8 p.m. at The Bennington Free Library. $1 requested contribution if possible.

SHAFTSBURY -- All meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Grange Hall on Grange Road, next to the Shaftsbury Head Start building. Meetings begin at 7 p.m.


Town of Bennington Project List

BENNINGTON -- On Monday and Tuesday Water crews will be replacing water services on Bradford and Safford Streets between Gage Street and County Streets. Most of this work will require that Bradford or Safford Street be closed to through traffic within the work area block between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Signs will be posted off Bradford Street at Gage Street and County Streets for detours.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, A subcontractor and Town crews will be installing curbs on Safford Street and Bradford Street. Both streets will be closed to through traffic. Please use alternate routes .

On Thursday Highway crews will be backfilling curbs on Bradford Street and Safford Street. Both streets will be closed to through traffic. Please use alternate routes.

French Toast Fly-In

BENNINGTON -- The Bennington Sport Flying Club and New England Airmotive are putting together another French Toast Fly In on Saturday, August 16 (Bennington Battle Day weekend), from 8-11 a.m. at the William Morse Memorial Airport (KDDH), 1563 Walloomsac Road.
