Bennington Lions September Dinner meeting
BENNINGTON -- The Bennington Lions will hold the first dinner meeting of their 75th year of Lions Service on Tuesday, Sept. 10, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Bennington Station. Please call Lion Kathy at 802-442-4033 for reservations.
Gary ‘Gig' Antognioni Benefit Golf Tournament
BENNINGTON -- A golf tournament in memory of the late Gary "Gig" Antognioni, a Bennington native, will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Mount Anthony Country Club. Registration will be at noon, start playing at 1 p.m. Format will be a four-person scramble. Cost of $100 per player includes golf, cart, prizes and post tournament party. Overeaters Anonymous meets
BENNINGTON -- Overeaters Anonymous meets on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at the Bennington Free Library, 101 Silver St.
Bereavement support group
BENNINGTON -- A weekly adult grief support group for those who have lost a loved one is held every Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Vermont Veterans Home on North Street. For more information, call VNA & Hospice of SVHC at 802-442-5502.
Taconic Grange meets
SHAFTSBURY -- All meetings of the Taconic Community Grange No. 491 are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Grange Hall on Grange Road, next to the Shaftsbury Head Start building. Meetings begin at 7 p.m.
Town of Bennington Democratic Caucus
BENNINGTON -- Democrats residing in Bennington and North Bennington will caucus on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. at Bennington Free Library. The purpose of this caucus is to elect a Democratic Town Committee. Any registered voter of the Town of Bennington who has not participated in the caucus process of another political party is invited to attend. The first meeting of the newly formed committee will follow immediately after the caucus.
The agenda will include election of the Town Committee, election of Officers by the Town Committee, and election of County Committee members.

No Limits Benefit Bike Ride
MANCHESTER -- The sixth annual Bart Center's "No Limits" bike ride will be held Saturday, Sept. 14 starting at the Dana Thompson Memorial Park in Manchester. A variety of rides will meet everyone's abilities with a century ride, a metric century ride, a 30 mile recreational ride and a 10 mile family fun ride. All rides are supported with aid stations. Rides start at 7 a.m. based on the lengths. Go to bikereg.com to see routes and to pre-register at a cost $35.
Day of registration is available at a price of $40 for the 100, 65, 30 and $25 for the 10 mile. T-shirts are available for first 100 riders. A barbeque is included and starts at 1 p.m. or when riders come in. Call Joe at 802-384-4032 with any questions.
