Election night pasta dinner

ARLINGTON -- The Arlington Memorial High School Junior class is hosting a pasta dinner on election night. Dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. in the AMHS cafeteria. Voting will take place in the AMHS gymnasium. At the Senior Center

BENNINGTON -- Bennington Senior Center activities will include bone builders from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The Help Weight Group: weigh-in will be held from 4:30 to 4:55. Meeting starts at 5 p.m., sharp.

Grief support group for parents

BENNINGTON -- A grief support group for parents living with the loss of a child (any age) is held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. at the Second Congregational Church, 115 Hillside St. This group is free of charge and always respects confidentiality. SVMC to offer clinic on Election Day

BENNINGTON -- Southwestern Vermont Medical Center is offering a community flu vaccination clinic and free blood pressure checks for all those who come to the Bennington Fire House on River Street between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The flu vaccine will be available for adults 18 years old and older and the fee is $35. Medicare Part B or cash or checks only, no other insurance accepted. Those eligible for Medicare Part B should bring their insurance card. Blood pressure checks will be done free of charge.

Overeaters Anonymous meets

BENNINGTON -- Overeaters Anonymous meets on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at the Bennington Free Library.

Bingo in Arlington

ARLINGTON -- Bingo will be held at the American Legion. Doors open at 6 p.m., and bingo starts at 7 p.m. Food will be available to purchase. Call the Legion at 802-375-6157 with questions.

Principal Search Committee seeks members

ARLINGTON -- Karen Gallese, superintendent of schools for the Battenkill Valley Supervisory Union, invites members of the Arlington School Community to apply for two positions on the search committee for the new principal of Arlington Memorial High School. If more than two people apply for these positions, two names will be randomly chosen.

Participation on this committee will require individuals to commit approximately two early evening meetings a month, for at least four months. These meetings could last up to two hours and will be held in the superintendent’s office.
