Senior Center activities

BENNINGTON -- Bennington Senior Center activities will include Bone Builders from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The Help Weight group weigh-in will be held from 4:30 to 4:55 p.m. Meeting starts at 5 p.m. sharp.

’Money Smart Child’ parent workshop

BENNINGTON -- On Tuesday, Dec. 4, Bennington Free Library will host The Money Smart Child parent workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Christmas bazaar at Grace Christian

BENNINGTON -- There will be a Christmas bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grace Christian School, located across from the K-Mart Plaza. Featured will be door prizes; a lunch menu; hand-crafted items; vendor items (Avon, Mary Kay, etc.).

Fundraisers at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales

BENNINGTON -- Three fundraisers are planned for December at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Parish.

The folks at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Parish are definitely in for a busy month of December, as three fund raisers are planned for the parish.

The first, "The Basket Raffle," consists of 14 assorted baskets running the gamut of items for babies, bath, birds, breakfast, a crock pot, lottery tickets, holiday, gardening, kitchen, gift certificates, and much more. The tickets, which are on sale at the parish office at 238 West Main St. during normal business hours, are one dollar each or six for five dollars. The drawing will be held on Friday, Dec. 14, by the end of the business day.

The second fund raiser is the annual bake sale, scheduled to be held on Saturday evening, Dec. 1, from 5 pm to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday Dec. 2, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the parish center, located next to the church.

Finally, everyone is invited to attend "Breakfast with St. Nicholas" on Sunday, Dec. 2, from 8:30 am until all the food is gone. The menu for the breakfast consists of French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, juice, milk, coffee and tea. The event will be held in the parish center next to the church. Cost for the breakfast is $8 for adults, $4 for children and $20 for a family.
