Healthcare forum with SVMC hospitalist
BENNINGTON -- Joshua Sherman, M.D., hospitalist at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, will lecture at Southern Vermont College’s Everett Mansion Theatre on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 5:30 p.m.
The title of the lecture is "This is Dr. Sherman, Returning a Page: A Guide to Communication Among Health Professions." The general public is invited to the lecture.

Bennington Free Clinic
BENNINGTON -- The Bennington Free Clinic is held each Thursday starting at 6 p.m. This clinic is for uninsured people 18 years of age or older, who would otherwise fall through the cracks of the health care system. Bingo at Pownal Legion
POWNAL -- Pownal American Legion Post No. 90 offers bingo every Thursday evening. Doors and concession open at 5 p.m. There will be 30 games, including three progressive jackpots, door prizes, raffles, and family fun.
Reading and ice cream at Mark Skinner Library
MANCHESTER -- Come to the Mark Skinner Library at 10:30 a.m. for a story and craft time with Lana Hauben, author of the children’s picture book, "Ice Cream Land." Ice cream will be served at this event, which is free and open to the public. Children must be accompanied and supervised by adult caregivers. Photography workshop at library
WILIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- For youth grade 6 and up, local photographer Caroline Schneider will offer a two-session photography workshop, "Amazing Portraits," at the Milne Library.
The workshop will take place Thursday, Feb. 21, from 1 to 2 p.m. and on Thursday, Feb. 28, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Participants will take their photos during the week in between.
This workshop will concentrate on exploring the art of portrait photography, and teaching a variety of techniques to help participants create a series of portraits.
Cameras will be provided for those who don’t own one. This workshop will culminate in a photography exhibition at the library.
