Bennington Free Clinic
BENNINGTON - The Bennington Free Clinic is held each Thursday starting at 6 p.m. This clinic is for uninsured people 18 years of age or older, who would otherwise fall through the cracks of the health care system. It is located in the First Baptist Church, 601 Main St. Call 447-3700 for an appointment to be seen. Pownal bingo
POWNAL -- American Legion Post 90 in Pownal holds bingo on Thursdays. Doors open at 5 p.m., and bingo starts at 6:30 p.m. promptly. There will be two progressive games and a snack bar will be available.
Greater Bennington Peace & Justice Center events
BENNINGTON -- The Greater /Bennington Peace & Justice Center will hold its September monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 5 at the UU Meetinghouse on School Street at 6:15 p.m. with a pot lunch followed by the business agenda at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, Sept. 7, the Greater Bennington Peace & Justice Center will meet at the Four Corners for their monthly vigil for peace at 12:30 p.m. They invite the public to join them to protest a U.S. strike on Syria.
