The Georgi Museum closed for two Fridays
SHUSHAN, N.Y. -- The Georgi Museum will be closed July 12 and 19 but will reopen on July 26 at 10 a.m. The Shushan Notables Exhibit will be on display in the Battenkill Room of the museum. This collection of photos, art, crafts, books and life stories represent a small slice of a very notable community of people. The Shushan Notables exhibit will be added to as the season progresses and as folks choose to share their own stories. From July 26 through Columbus Day The Georgi will be open every Friday from 10 to 4 p.m. We are highlighting a filmed conversation by Anne Buffum Brown and Mary Buffum Hamlin that took place at the Georgi in the 1990’s and it is titled, Recognition of Shushan. HOOSICK, N.Y. -- The All Saints Youth Ministry is hosting an Ice Cream Socialtoday from 6 to 8 p.m. at All Saints Church. Everyone is welcome to come and indulge in a make-your-own ice cream sundae.
Play some lawn games. Meet the 2013 Dairy Princess, Lindsey McMahon of Petersburgh. Enjoy a summer evening of fun, fellowship, and free ice cream. Youth Ministry Leaders will be on hand to answer any questions about the church’s youth programming. All Saints Church is located just east of Curtis Lumber on Route 7.
