Group hosts discussion of Medicare Part D
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - The Northern Berkshire Interfaith Action Initiative (NBIAI) will hold its March meeting at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 21, at the First Baptist Church. Please use Eagle Street address. All are welcome.
Debbie Valieres, from Little's Pharmacy, will speak about Medicare Part D drug coverage problems and solutions for people with financial need. She will also talk about Part B coverage, and medication compliance as a means to decrease hospitalizations and re-admissions The Northern Berkshire Interfaith Action Initiative is a group of people of different faiths and denominations working together with others of goodwill to serve our community. It runs the Friendship Center Food Pantry in North Adams, an emergency voucher system in Northern Berkshire, and holds monthly meetings to discuss topics and programs of civic and religious concern.

2nd annual Basketball Challenge
ARLINGTON - Arlington Memorial Varsity Girls and Boys basketball teams take on Arlington Alumni in the 2nd Annual Basketball Challenge beginning at 6 p.m. in the Arlington Memorial High School gymnasium. Hosted by the Fisher Parent Teacher Group, the night will also include a basketball game featuring Arlington faculty/staff vs. Arlington parents. At the door, tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students 12 and under and $20 for a family. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at the Fisher Main Office: $4 for adults and $2 for 12 and under. All proceeds benefit the Fisher Playground Fund.
Spaghetti dinner fundraiser
SHAFTSBURY - There will be a spaghetti dinner and silent auction fundraiser at the Shaftsbury Elementary School from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 for an adult, $4 student and $20 for a family of four. Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, garlic bread and ice cream for dessert. Take out is also available. Proceeds go to the Shaftsbury Elementary 6th grade class to fund a field trip in June. The silent auction will include numerous items generously donated by local businesses. The class will also be selling tickets for a change to win a lottery tree filled with lottery tickets. The SES band will be playing from 6 to 6:30 p.m.
Concert of harmonic throat singing from Sardinia
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Tenores de Aterue, a concert of harmonic singing from Sardinia, Corsica, and Italy will be at St. John's Episcopal Church, 36 Park St. at 7:30 p.m. Suggested donation will be $10 to $15.

Founded in 2008, the Tenores have performed in the US, Canada and Sardinia, where they have received critical and popular acclaim for their prowess in the art of cantu a tenore, a traditional song form that involves harmonic throat singing in parts.
Senior Center activities
BENNINGTON - On Fridays in March the Senior Center is hosting ceramics from 9 a.m. to noon, painting from 9 a.m. to noon, and bingo from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Soccer Registration open
