HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Cheney Library will have story time for preschoolers and their caregivers on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Several of the classic tales and songs. There will be crafts and snacks. Plan to come with your preschool child; it will be lots of fun for both of you.

BENNINGTON -- Overeaters Anonymous meets on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at the Bennington Free Library, 101 Silver St.
SudSSpirit Bereavement support group meeting
BENNINGTON -- SudSSpirit Bereavement Support Group will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m. at the Bennington Free Library.
The group is for those that are survivors of the sudden unexpected death of their spouse or significant other. No registration is required and it is free.

Meditation for Everyone
BENNINGTON -- Meditation has been practiced for millennia, and is a way for the mind to begin to know itself. This knowing moves us towards freedom, self-acceptance, kindness and compassion. Our hearts become more open. We move towards happiness. Please join us Tuesday evenings from 7-8 p.m. at The Bennington Free Library. $1 requested contribution if possible.
Beginning and experienced meditators are welcome. Chairs available. If you wish to sit on a cushion, please bring one. Families Together Caregiver gathering
BENNINGTON -- Are you caring for a loved one? We know it can be difficult. Bennington Project Independence, Adult Day Service, partners with families to share information and problem solve to make caregiving for a loved one easier.
Families Together meets at BPI on t he last Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public and next meets on Aug. 26.

Primary election date
MONTPELIER -- Secretary of State Jim Condos would like to remind all Vermonters about the importance of voting. Please see the important upcoming deadlines below:
Primary Election: The 2014 Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 26. All polls in Vermont open between 5 and 10 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. To locate your polling place, please visit the Secretary of State's website at: https://www.sec.state.vt.us/ elections/voters.aspx.
Voter Registration Deadline: To vote in the Primary Election, the deadline for voter registration is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
Early and Absentee Voting: Any registered voter may request a ballot from their town clerk, whether in person, by phone or by mail. All early and absentee ballot requests must be submitted by 5 p.m. or close of the town clerk's office on the day before Election Day, which is Monday, Aug. 25.
"As always, I urge all Vermonters to remember to take the opportunity to vote -- by early ballot or at the polls on Aug. 26. Your Vote is your Voice!" added Condos.
