CAT-TV open house

BENNINGTON -- CAT-TV will hold an open house on Thursday, Feb. 7, beginning at 6 p.m. Why is CAT-TV having an Open House? Actually there are several reasons.

If you ever wondered what CAT-TV is all about, how you could become involved with the organization and what you could do once you are a member, this event is a must for you! Are you a person who has taken an orientation and classes many years ago and haven’t been to the station since they left the Masonic Temple building (were they first started out)? Things really have changed since then. CAT-TV has had an organization restructuring, added lots of new equipment, brought in new members and has a dedicated staff and board of directors. CAT-TV celebrated its’ twentieth anniversary in 2012.

Learn how CAT-TV operates seven days a week/twenty four hours a day and offers community bulletin board announcements, public service announcements, video production of local events and meetings to cablecast. Something new is that all of the meetings recorded by CAT-TV can be viewed on You-Tube.

Staff members will be on hand to provide information on upcoming classes, (hands on) demos with equipment, promoting programs and public service announcements for non-profit organizations and community events, guided tours, answer your questions, and more.

The CAT-TV studio is located at 625 Main St., across from Mahar Funeral Home, next to the First Baptist Church.

There will be free give-a-aways, and light refreshments. This event is open to everyone.
