BRUNSWICK, N.Y. -- On May 16, New York State Police located, arrested and processed 33-year-old Jessica Fisher of Hoosick Falls for assault in the third degree. Fisher arrived at the home of the 37-year-old victim Friday afternoon when she was sitting on her porch. Although it is unclear to police how it started, an argument turned into a physical altercation in which Fisher allegedly struck the victim several times in the face. Fisher was released with a ticket, due back for a later court date.
Aggravated domestic assault
ARLINGTON -- On May 11, at 12:30 p.m., Vermont State Police were notified of an assault on Maple Hill Road. The victim reported that she had been assaulted approximately one hour earlier at a residence. The victim had visible injuries to her face, according to the police report. After an investigation, police arrested Derek Bushee, 31, of Arlington, for aggravated domestic assault. He was held without bail at Marble Valley Correctional Facility. He later appeared in Bennington County Criminal Court to answer to the charge.
