Lyme Disease presentation, free to the public


CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. >> The Shenendehowa Health and Wellness Committee, in collaboration with the Lyme Action Network, will sponsor a community presentation entitled "What You Need to Know About Lyme and Other Tick-Borne Diseases" on April 12 at 7 p.m. in the Gowana Middle School Auditorium, Rt. 146, Clifton Park, N.Y.

The presentation will be conducted by Holly Ahern, Professor of Microbiology at SUNY Adirondack, and other members of the Lyme Action Network. Professor Ahern is a nationally recognized expert on the microbiology of Lyme disease and the research, both current and historical, that informs public policy on this troubling issue. The presentation will offer information on awareness, prevention, diagnostics, treatment options, misdiagnoses and misinformation, advocacy, and resources available to the public. The meeting is free and open to the public.
