‘Afterglow' party celebrates the holidays

BENNINGTON -- Bennington Museum is offering a wonderful break from the hectic pace of the holidays. Celebrate by kicking back, dancing, enjoying friends and family at the "Afterglow" Dance Party on Friday, December 21. Step into a sophisticated nightclub atmosphere in the warm yet elegant space of the Bennington Museum. With great music spun by DJ Johnny Love, the expansive dance floor beckons you and your friends to get up and celebrate. If you prefer, just sit back at the intimate tables with your friend or someone special. From 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. (last year it was going until midnight) the cash bar will be offering holiday drinks, wine, beer and soft drinks.

Enjoy the unique exhibit of community created trees - special for the season. Over twenty trees are set in themed vignettes that tell a story or represent the group that created the tree and setting.Following this year's theme "Around the World,' the vignettes range from powerful to whimsical and are a delight to explore. The exhibit is located in three of the museum's eleven galleries. Be with us when the "Best of the Fest" is announced in several categories.

While at ‘Afterglow' you can also participate in the silent auction featuring lovely items that will make great gifts. Just in time for the holidays, what a wonderful way to finish your last minute shopping. Support the museum and shop all at the same time. And if you don't win the gift you have your eye on, stop in our shop which has a wonderful assortment of gifts for all ages - from the very young to the very young at heart.
