BENNINGTON -- The fifth annual Lee Goldsmith Memorial Soccer Tournament will be held at Willow Park on August 10.
The tournament is held in honor of Lee Goldsmith, a former Mount Anthony Union High School soccer player, who died of cancer in 2009.
Eligible players must be enrolled in high school as of September and all male teams or co-ed teams are allowed.
Each team has six field players and a goalkeeper for 25-minute mini-games and play begins at 11 a.m. Teams will be divided into pools for round robin play. The number of preliminary games will be dependent on the number of teams entered.

Bow Hunters event
BENNINGTON -- On Sunday, the Catamount Bow Hunters will be hosting its 3D Archery Competition. Registration will take place from 7 a.m. to noon, with adults costing $10 and youths $5.
Trophies will be awarded and members and non-members are welcome.

HOOSICK, N.Y. -- There will be a meeting on August 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Barbecue Recreation lanes for the Tuesday night women’s bowling league. All team captains are encouraged to attend and each team must have at least one member of their team at the meeting.

MACC junior academy
BENNINGTON -- The Mount Anthony Country Club is hosting a junior sports academy for golfers. PGA professional Kevin Bennison will lead the session, starting August 12 to 15. The session, for juniors ages 7 to 16, will go from 9 a.m. to noon.
The cost is $99 per child and people are encouraged to register early to assure a spot.

Storm youth camp
BENNINGTON -- The Southern Vermont Storm will hold its youth football camp for children ages 8 to 14 on Aug. 5-8 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Vermont Vets Home.
Former Mount Anthony football coach Jim Fischer will work with the campers, along with current Storm and Mount Anthony players.
The camp costs $80 per child with a $30 discount for additional siblings.

Players will need to bring cleats, a mouth guard and shorts or football pants. Shoulder pads and helmets will be supplied by the camp.

SVC summer camps for baseball, basketball
BENNINGTON -- Southern Vermont College coaches and players will lead camps on campus this summer.
Men’s basketball coach Dan Engelstad will lead two separate sessions of the camp. The second session follows Aug. 5 to 9. Both take place in the Mountaineer Athletic Center.
Boys and girls entering grades 3-11 can sign up for either week. The cost is $200 for one session or $375 for both. Individual participation and instruction in all phases of skill development and team play will be maximized. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt and a personalized evaluation from camp staff.
Mountaineer Baseball will once again hold its annual summer camp on Bill Epstein Field from Aug. 5 to 8. The morning session, from 9 to 11 a.m., is open to children between kindergarten and sixth grade, while those going into grades 7-12 will go in the afternoon from 12 to 2 p.m.
