Letters: To all emergency responders
Thank you for your quick response to the tractor trailer rollover accident on Route 7 on July 15. Many times we forget how much work and dedication goes into making a fire department, police department or rescue squad a well run organization, until we need them. I am proud to say we have some of the best organizations in all New York state!
I appreciate and would like to thank every one of you for your service. Your dedication to your community does not go unnoticed.

Appreciates Veterans Home more than ever
My recent stay in the Vermont Veterans Home for rehabilitation after knee surgery, made me realize what a "jewel" of a facility Bennington has here for their use. The Veterans Home is not only assisted living for our veterans and their spouses, but it is a retirement home and a rehabilitation center. During my rehab stay I witnessed staff who cared for their patients as if they were their own family members. My rehab progressed more quickly than my doctor had envisioned. I felt this was because of their good care. My gratitude goes out to all the staff of the Vermont Veterans Home.
