Letters: Thanks to all who made road race a success

On behalf of the Bennington Road Race steering committee, I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent coverage that was provided for our event by the Banner. In spite of some less than perfect weather, we had over 260 runners this year and the usual fine turnout of spectators.

Many thanks to our lead sponsor, SVMC Orthopaedics, and the 36 other businesses and individuals who provided donations. Special thanks also to Dr. Judy Orton for again donating the awards.

The net proceeds will be donated to the Zemianek scholarship fund at the high school and to Girls On the Run.

It was our honor and privilege this year to dedicate the race to the late Gail Harwood, a woman who provided the community with inspiration as a teacher and a runner.

Lastly, thanks to all of our hard-working volunteers who make this event possible, and the Park McCullough House for providing a beautiful location for the race.

Bennington Key Bank volunteers help add color to Hoosick Falls

HAYC3 Would like to thank Nicole Gregory, Amanda Rudzick, Tracey Wardwell Lisa Wilt of Key Bank in Hoosick Falls for volunteering to work with HAYC3 on the Hoosick Barn Quilt Project for Key Bank’s Neighbors Day! These talented painters were at The HAYC3 Armory for several hours last Wednesday and helped to start a couple of Barn quilts and finish some others. Thank you ladies, and thank you Key Bank for helping make our community more beautiful.
