Letters: Thank you from Battenkill Grange No. 487

On behalf of the members of Battenkill Grange No. 487, I would like to thank everyone who in any way helped us in our transition from our home of 65 years in West Arlington. It was sad to leave but we could not accept the new rules and regulations by the church. We would like to thank all the people in Arlington, Sunderland, and Sandgate who have offered their support and prayers -- the churches, other organizations, and businesses in town. We especially thank the American Legion Post #69 in Arlington for inviting us to use their hall for our breakfasts and meetings. It is an ideal place for our breakfasts and we are doing very well. A huge thanks to Joanne and all the members of the American Legion Post #69 who have helped us reorganize.

We still have our pavilion in West Arlington that we are renting this summer. Call Nathalie Caler at 802-375-6135 if you want the details on renting.

Again thanks to everyone and we are doing very well. We initiated three new members this month and we will continue to do our community service work in any way we can, the same as in years past.

Arlington Thanks to the Bennington Police for exceptional work

As the Clinical Director of the Bennington School, I would like to publicly thank Paul J. Doucette, Chief of Police, Detective Silvestro and the entire Bennington Police Department for their exceptional work and dedication to the safety of children.

At times, our children do not make the best choices and they can then be at serious risk in the community by adults that prey on their vulnerabilities.

In such instances, we communicate and collaborate with the Bennington Police Department, an outstanding organization, clearly dedicated to the well-being of every resident in our community.

Their actions speak their values, every child matters and every child deserves protection and love.

With gratitude from all of us at Bennington School,

Clinical Director, Bennington School
