Is this not a Democrat heaven?

Saturday's front page article on economic priorities was interesting. So let me add a few points.

Look at a number of lists -- Vermont is near the top in taxes and for being business unfriendly. Vermont is near the bottom 43 in average wages.

So, as one representative told me at the polls during the last election, "If you don't like high taxes in Vermont, move." I hope it was a joke.

Wtih Vermont becoming the next Michigan and both losing population is this not a Democrat heaven? It must be -- we keep reelecting the Democrats to push these policies.

The wisdom of Jefferson

After reading the six-volume biography of Thomas Jefferson by Dumas Malone, I came across some of Jefferson's quotations as follows, which seem to apply today:

"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."

"It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes."

"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."

"My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government."

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

"To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical."

John F Kennedy held a dinner in the White House for a group of the brightest minds in the nation at that time. He made this statement: "This is perhaps the assembly of the most intelligence ever to gather at one time in the White House with the exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone."

You must be one of the rich Republicans!

Obama is trying to help everyone and getting insurance, which most people think is so needed. Most people think Obama is wonderful and is doing a great job -- he cares about the people and he's the Democrat that got to be president! He sure beats them Republicans who just try to take over and change the law.

I'm so glad Obama didn't give in! Karl Rove is another Republican who tries to rule the whole world. He ruled Bush and look at the most he made of everything, starting wars, lying to everyone. Even Colin Powell was sick of all Bush's lies -- he was for Obama. Romney and Ryan never even carried their own states. Boehner and Cruz should be out of there.

I hope Hillary runs and she will be our next president!
