Letter to the editor: What a huge success! We Thank you.
What a huge success! We Thank you.
The first VT Steak House Night was held at the Elks in Bennington on April 29. We need to thank all the people that came. It was so nice to see so many familiar faces, and a pleasure to serve you the food you have been missing.
Whenever a family member mentioned it , you said "what a great idea", and you sure supported us! We served about 225 dinners with two seatings.
We thought it went well for the first time. Little gliches, nothing drastic. Many of you would like it once a month, especially those that missed it.
Wishful thinking! We will be considering once a year as the prep work is extreme for all, we will keep you posted. Dad/Ed and Mom/Pat would be pleased, and we are very proud of the legacy they started that we can carry on in some small ways to help others. Thanks, Lowre Lacroix for the homemade rice pudding from Dad's recipe.
This dinner was a benefit for Silver Towers Summer Camp for disabled people. This camp is used by people from all over the state of VT, including many local people from SW VT through UCS.
We are proud to say we raised $3,200 for Silver Towers pool fund from dinner ticket sales, relish tray items to go, and tips.
Once again, Thanks for all of your support.
— The Ed and Pat Pinsonneault Bennington
