Letter to the editor: Thanks to organizations who responded to well issue

Thanks to organizations who responded to well issue

My name is Billy Canfield and I am the home-school coordinator for the Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union (BRSU). My job is to connect families with community resources available to them, as well as ensure the well-being of the students in and out of their school. I recently had a family in the school district come to me with an issue with their well which raised sanitation concern. Outreach was conducted to several well service companies throughout Southern Vermont and the only response came from Ken White, Service Manager of Valley Artesian Well Co., Inc. Mr. White was supportive, responsive, and showed the utmost class and respect for the family during this process. Another organization that went above and beyond was the Stratton Community Foundation. Executive Director Tammy Mosher wasted no time fully funding this project. The Stratton Community Foundation offers support throughout Southern Vermont and impacts many grateful communities. On behalf of this family and the BRSU, we would like to offer our utmost respect and gratitude to these great people and the outstanding organizations they represent.
