Letter to the editor: Co2 questions better left to other sources

Co2 questions better left to other sources

In a recent article regarding HVAC system performance at Shaftsbury Elementary School, I commented (To the Bennington Banner) about the possible health and safety impacts of elevated levels of carbon dioxide detected as part of a metering effort I conducted in my role as Energy Consultant at Efficiency Vermont.

My expertise is in analyzing building performance and advising customers of strategies to reduce their energy usage. In retrospect I realize questions not pertaining to that expertise would have been better deferred to other sources.

I was glad to be of assistance in helping the school test the performance of their HVAC system, and I look forward to working further with them to help optimize energy efficiency and building comfort.
