Letter: Summer Camps for Children Scholarships available


The Southwest Vermont Career Development Center has been awarded a grant in the amount of $1,800 from the Bennington Idea Fund to assist any needing student with fees associated with attending any CDC sponsored summer camp offerings. This includes the New Experience Camp co-sponsored by the Bennington Police, Sheriff's and Fire Departments.

Funds will be awarded by a committee on an as needed basis to assist with some or all of the cost to attend. Applications for the scholarships can be obtained by calling or visiting the CDC office at 447-0220 and soon available online at:www.svcdc.org.

The application deadline is June 6, 2016.

Week long CDC Summer camp offerings for students Bennington County wide in grades 7-9 include Video Production-Cinematography, Young Hacks Academy, Game Programing Using HTML & JavaScript, and Building Wild Experience. Camp descriptions, dates, times and registrations can be found at www.svcdc.org or by calling 447-0220.
