Letter: Remember Sunrise on the ballot on March 1

Over the last couple of years I have had the great pleasure of serving on the board of Trustees for Sunrise Family Resource Center. Sunrise works closely with families throughout southern Vermont (Bennington County). The empathetic, energetic, dedicated staff work tirelessly with many of our citizens (1561 home visits in 2015.) They reach out to: children, homeless youth, young parents, food-insecure families, and individuals in need of treatment and education.

Sunrise staff logged over 38,000 miles transporting families and children to appointments, child care, school, work and medical appointments throughout Bennington County in 2015.

We are a non-profit. We will be on the ballot requesting town funding on March 1st. Please help this very important family resource by voting YES. Thank you.

— Paul Mooney,

Vice-Chair Sunrise Family Resource Center Board of Trustees
