Letter: Great shows at Southern Vermont Arts Center
Many thanks to the Ihasz family who have brought to Southern Vermont Arts Center and the Manchester and the Mountains community five stellar (Dancing in the aisles, toe-tapping, finger-snapping, walk-down-memory-lane) concerts this summer, selected to entertain contemporary music lovers of all ages. Broadway and Lincoln Center came to Manchester: Cold Spring Harbor Band (Billy Joel's music and incredible saxophonist Richie Cannata) on June 24, O Sole Trio (Italian hits from Sinatra to Pavarotti) on July 15, and Married to Broadway (Les Miserables stars singing our favorite Broadway show tunes) on Aug. 5. Still to come are Bob Milne: Ragtime and Boogie-Woogie, a Library of Congress "National Treasure," on Aug. 19 and Philip Bauer: Legend of Johnny Cash on Aug. 26. Support these top-notch entertainers of today. Visit svac.org for tickets.
