The Senior Minutemen finished an excellent season in a hard fought 26-12 loss to No. 1 seed Manchester in the NYFL semifinals.
The Minutemen offense moved the ball in the first half with some tough running by Tanner Bushee and Cash Campolungo, but unable to sustain drives to score points and the Manchester quarterback proved very hard to stop, spreading out the Bennington defense and capitalized on his ability to run and throw.
The Minutemen came back strong in the second half though, showing great fight driving down and Bushee scored to start the third quarter and the defense tightened keeping Manchester out of the end zone the whole second half.
The Minutemen finished another long drive behind great running from Bushee, Carter Thompson, Kaiden Mailhot and Cash Campolungo, who scored the final touchdown of the game early in the fourth quarter to make it a two-score game.
Manchester grinded out the clock keeping the ball out of Bennington's hands to seal the win.
