Fiddlehead offering winter break art classes for kids

BENNINGTON -- Following the success of their fall kids art classes, Fiddlehead at Four Corners in downtown Bennington has announced a new slate of classes for children ages 4 to 14, which will run over winter break. The classes will run December 21-23, Dec. 26, and Dec. 27. The full lineup of classes is below.

* CLAY, COFFEE AND COCOA: Accompany your child in this fun exploration of clay. Each class will have a different group project, but also plenty of time for parents and kids to create, experiment, and explore at their own pace. Coffee and cocoa (marshmallows too) accompany the creativity. All supplies included. $60. Ages- 4-7. 9 to 10:15 a.m.

* LEGO ARCHITECTURE: Build amazing skyscrapers, castles, hotels, and anything else you can imagine. We will be using the Lego Architecture Series, as well as our collection of thousands of Lego bricks to build awesome structures, and learn about architecture, both local and international. All supplies included. $60. Ages 6-9. 1 to 2:15p.m.

* LEGO STAR WARS: For those with serious lego skills, and Star Wars fans, this class is for you! Join your friends for five evenings of creative and challenging Star Wars projects. Build the Millennium Falcon, Sith Interceptor, X-Wing Starfighter and more. We anticipate much interest, class size is limited. $100. Ages 9-14. 6:45 to 8:45 p.m.

* CUPCAKE ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL: Calling all cupcake fanatics! Make some unforgettable desserts and culinary sculpture...and enjoy eating them too. Learn to design and decorate the most amazing cupcakes from countries around the world. Each day we will focus on a different country or region themeĆ culminating in a large table sized cupcake sculpture on the last class. All supplies included. $60. Ages 8-14 3 to 4:15 p.m.

BENNINGTON -- Bring back the holidays to a time when more time was spent with family creating homemade, thoughtful gifts. Come see ideas for handmade presents, ornaments, and gift tags that are easy to make!

Stacy Gates, owner of Create with Bogate is on a personal mission to help people find or rekindle their creativity by making things and working with their hands.
