Bring your teacher friends and join us for a relaxing gathering in our children's department. Meet with our expert booksellers, explore what's new for your grade level(s), and enjoy wine and cheese! We'll have advance copies of books for grades pre-k to 12 that you are welcome to take with you. We will also feature special displays all around the department that cater to you and your classrooms. Poetry Event with Alison Prine and Karin Gottshall

Join Poets Alison Prine and Karin Gottshall to close out the 20th anniversary of National Poetry Month. Alison Prine's poems have appeared in The Virginia Quarterly Review, Shenandoah, Harvard Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, and Prairie Schooner among others.
Her first collection of poems, Steel, was chosen by Jeffrey Harrison for this year's Cider Press Review Book Award and was published in January 2016. She lives in Burlington, Vermont where she works as a psychotherapist. Karin Gottshall is a poet and fiction writer who teaches poetry writing at Middlebury College. Karin has a BA Sarah Lawrence College and an MFA in Writing from Vermont College. Her new book, The River Won't Hold You, won the Ohio State University Press/The Journal Wheeler Prize, and is now available. Her first book, Crocus, won the Poets Out Loud Prize in 2007. She is also the author of three poetry chapbooks: Food Letters, Almanac for the Sleep-less, and Swan.
