Eagles slip past Proctor
Isabel Valerio scored for Proctor in the 10th minute to put Arlington behind for the first time this year, but Arlington tied the game five minutes later on Belnap's first goal, assisted by Xandria Hoyt. Belnap's second goal moments later gave the Eagles a lead they wouldn't relinquish.
Shaana Staab allowed her first goal of the season in net, but still earned the win. Gracie Smith and Lilah Ward were cited for excellent defense on Proctor's strikers.
Arlington is 10-0 and is at West Rutland on Monday.
HOOSICK, N.Y. — The Hoosick girls soccer team scored three goals in the final 12 minutes to stun Cambridge, 4-3, on Thursday night at Ken Baker Field.
Down 3-1 with 12 minutes left, Taylor Mann scored to cut the deficit to one. Four minutes later, Darian Morgan scored the second of her three goals on the night to tie it with 8:14 to go.
One minute later, Morgan scored the game-winner to lift the Panthers.
Cambridge scored the first two goals of the night, the first from Vanessa Evans and the second from Miranda Seacord. Morgan cut the lead to 2-1 with seven minutes left in the first half. Seacord scored again early in the second half before the Hoosick barrage.
Hoosick Falls is 9-4-1, while Cambridge drops to 9-4.
BENNINGTON — The Mount Anthony Youth Athletic Association will host a pair of registration nights for its basketball program.
The two in-person registrations will take place on Nov. 7 and Nov. 9 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Bennington Elementary School.
The board will be at the registrations for parents to ask questions.
Registration is already online at www.mayaabasketball.com and will be until Nov. 3. The cost is $40 per child or $70 per family.
MAYAA is for kids from grades 1 to 6.

Bennington Elks Soccer Shoot Results
BENNINGTON — The Annual Bennington Elks Club Soccer Shoot took place this past Saturday at Willow Park. There were over 50 competitors testing their skills for a chance spot in the state finals to be held in St. Albans on October 15. Here are the results:

Football Youth Night set for tonight
BENNINGTON — Minutemen Youth Football Night will be held at Mount Anthony's Spinelli Field tonight when the Patriot football team plays host to Otter Valley at 7 p.m. as part of Homecoming weekend. All members of the Bennington area Minutemen tackle and flag football teams will be admitted free of charge by wearing their game jerseys.
Parents are asked to please accompany their children at the game or arrange supervision by a coach or another parent.
A drawing for two free footballs ball signed by the varsity team will be held at halftime for all Minutemen players in attendance.
Track and Treat Halloween Fun Run in North Bennington
NORTH BENNINGTON — The Village School of North Bennington is hosting a 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct 28. There will also be an Obstacle/Adventure Course available for the younger children. Registration is at 8 a.m. with the Family Fun Run/Walk at 9 a.m. and the 5K Run/Walk at 9:30 A.M.. 5K Pre-registration is $20, day of race is $25; Family Fun Run $10.
Participants are encouraged to dress in costume and prizes will be given! Bring the entire family to the Village School of North Bennington for a fun morning. Steve Colvin 5K
HOOSICK, N.Y. — The fourth annual Stephen Colvin Memorial 5K is coming on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Wood Memorial Park in Hoosick Falls. The race will begin at 9 a.m. from the park and money raised will benefit the Stephen Colvin Scholarship Fund awards.
Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female overall finishers in both the walk and run categories. Also the top male and female in each of the following categories will receive a medal: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
T-shirts will be available while supplies last. Early registration is $10 by Sept. 20 and $15 until race day. All students are $10 for registration.
