Eagles fall to Rebels on the road
TOWNSHEND — Riley Lane had nine points to lead Arlington as the Eagles dropped their opener, 34-20, on the road at Leland & Gray.
Arlington struggled in the first half, something coach Larry Andrews attributed to nerves. In the second half, things were better, as the Rebels only outscored them 17-16 in the final two quarters.
Arlington is 0-1 and hosts Bellows Falls on Wednesday.

"We didn't have the outstanding scores that we had in our last match against Granville but we still had some really good scores. The team was very patient as they were trying to find the correct line on the lanes. As the lanes dried out, they made some good changes to bowl some good scores. They are learning how to make the proper adjustments from game to game on away lanes and on our own home lanes. It was another good team effort by the bowlers in winning this match," said Hoosick coach Bob Lang.
