Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts thank suppliers
Cub Scout Pack 461 and the Boy Scout Troop would like to thank everyone who helped us with our fundraising breakfast in March. Thanks to Flo Wilson and Sonny Gates, first of all, for helping us get the word out. Then thanks to Paul Beltram of Beltram Paper Products for all the table clothes, cups, and plates. Thank you to Craig from Whorle’s who donated sausage links and to Gene from Henry’s Market in Bennington for his fresh ground breakfast patty meat. It was delicious.
Thanks to the girls at the Jacksonville General Store who donated all of our pancake mix. Vermont Maple Syrup was provided by Wayne Corse of Corse excavating and also by the River Valley Market. Snow Mountain Market gave us some butter to liven it up; while Blue Mountain Produce sent the melons.
To wash it all down, we had juice from Shaws and Price Chopper of Bennington. The folks at Thomas’ Dairy in Rutland delivered gallons of milk. Katy Duncan scrambled up 13 dozen of her free range chicken eggs. Michelle Manton’s supervisor at the Grand Summit sent tanks of coffee; and a good time was had by all.
Our event was advertised in the Deerfield Valley News, the Brattleboro Reformer, and at Duncan Cable, leading to a great turnout.
The No. 1 reason given for such generosity: "I was a scout; scouting is a great way to raise kids." We could not have done it without you!
