Court in brief
Jeffrey Macaluso, 25, of Bennington, pleaded guilty to felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was given a two-to-five-year sentence with credit for time served, concurrent to existing sentences. The charge stemmed from an April 17 incident investigated by Bennington police. In a separate case, Macaluso had his probation revoked after admitting to a violation.
Benjamin White, 26, of Bennington, pleaded no contest to felony aggravated stalking a victim who is less than 16 years old. The charge stemmed from an Oct. 15, 2016 incident investigated by Bennington police. Judge Howard ordered a pre-sentence investigation report and a one-hour sentencing hearing. Charges of felony second degree unlawful restraint (two counts) and misdemeanor disorderly conduct will be dismissed upon sentencing.
