MONTPELIER (AP) - More military veterans are graduating this year from Community College of Vermont.

On Saturday during the graduation ceremony at Norwich University in Northfield there will be 41 graduating veterans, up from last year.

A total of 58 people - either veterans or connected to veterans - will graduate this year, up from 41 last year.

CCV Director of Student Support Services Heather Weinstein says the school expects to graduate more veterans next year.

CCV is the largest of the Vermont State Colleges, with about 10,400 students registered for the fall semester. More than 550 students are due to graduate.

Among the graduates is Marine Corps veteran Trista Acebo, of Essex Junction, who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. She says her military service made her more focused on her studies.
