Cambridge wins second game of the season


BERLIN, N.Y. — The Cambridge Central School girls basketball team improved to 2-1 on the season, with a 51-10 win over Berlin on Monday night.

Lila Nolan led the way with a game-high 11 points for the Indians. Grace Snyder and Helen Mooney each had nine points on the night for Cambridge as well.

Cambridge's next game will be their home opener against Stillwater on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

Arlington drops first game of the season

CHESTER >> The Arlington Memorial boys basketball team lost their first game of the season to Green Mountain on Monday night, 56-41.

Senior Austin Hawley had a game-high 14 points for the Eagles.

Arlington's next game is at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Rochester.

MAU youth wrestling sign-ups

BENNINGTON >> Sign ups for Mount Anthony Youth Wrestling, will be held next Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Catamount Wrestling Club.

There will also be sign-ups held from 5:30 – 7 p.m. on December 18 at the High School Cafeteria before the Varsity Wrestling match.

Practices time will be held starting January 4, from 6-7:15 p.m. for grades K-2 and 6-7:30 p.m. for grades 3-6.

Starting on January 5th, the registration fee will be $ 40.00 with two fund raisers or $ 65.00 without fund raisers.

Coaches needed

ARLINGTON >> Arlington Memorial High School is looking for three coaches for the Spring 2016 season: Running Specialist, Varsity Softball Coach, Middle School Baseball Coach.

A running specialist is needed for the Varsity Track & Field team. The running specialist will work with the field specialist to prepare and train student-athletes for competition. Head coaches are needed for the varsity softball and middle school baseball teams. The positions are open until filled. The season begins in March. Interested candidates should submit a completed Coaches Application form, available on the school's website,, under the Athletic Department link.
