Cambridge girls finish with four


STILLWATER, N.Y. >> The Cambridge girls basketball team finished its game on Friday night against Stillwater with only half its roster eligible. After four of the eight players fouled out, the Indians dropped a 47-40 decision at Mike Lilac Gym.

Cambridge's Olivia Mooney led the Indians with 16 points, while Abby Higgins led all scorers with 18 for the Warriors. Cassidy Sheehan added 12 as Stillwater improves to 4-5 in the league.

Cambridge drops to 7-3 in the league and 11-4 overall.

Falls tops Valley

SCHAGHTICOKE, N.Y. >> The Hoosick Falls boys basketball team remained in third place in the Wasaren after a 47-29 win over Hoosic Valley on the road on Friday night.

Connor McCart led the way with 15 and Rem Hickey added 12 as the Panthers had its best defensive performance by score this season.

Isaac Sanchez had 14 for the Indians.

Hoosick Falls is 7-2 in the league and 8-5 overall.

Stillwater edges Indians

CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. >> The Cambridge boys basketball team fell 55-54 to Stillwater as Warriors coach Dave Cook earned his 200th win.

Mitchel Wayand had a game-high 29 points and six rebounds, while Jared D'Aloia added 10 points and five assists for the Warriors.

Kordell Benson led Cambridge with 14, while Brendon Holcomb had 11 and Dan Genevick added 10.
