ESSEX, VT. >> Police say a 24-year-old Burlington woman has succumbed to injuries she sustained in a crash involving two motorcycles and an all-terrain vehicle in Essex.

Crystal Santana was pronounced dead Wednesday morning at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Capt. George Murtie says Santana was a passenger on one of two motorcycles that were involved in a collision with an ATV that occurred Tuesday night on state Route 128.

The driver of the ATV, a 41-year-old Essex man, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol with serious injury resulting. Police haven't said whether the man will face additional charges following Santana's death.
