Bulldogs baseball falls to Wahconah

MANCHESTER — The Burr and Burton baseball team got down by nine runs in the sixth inning, and scored seven in the final two innings, but fell to Wahconah, 13-10, on Saturday.

The offense was on point with a couple of starters missing, as Tyler Kraehling went 3-for-4 with five RBI, Daniel Hatheway went 3-for-5 and Scott Mooney added a pair of hits and two walks.

BBA managed to get the tying run to the plate in the seventh, but couldn't get the big hit.

"We dug ourselves too big of a hole in the beginning," said BBA coach Ed Lewicki.

BBA hosts Rutland on Tuesday.

Bulldogs top Wasps

WOODSTOCK >> The Burr and Burton boys lacrosse team avenged a loss earlier in the season to Woodstock with a 14-5 rout on Saturday.

The Bulldogs scored the game's first seven goals and led 8-2 early in the second half.

Will Baker and Carter Vickers each had three goals apiece and the Bulldogs got a breakout game from Tommy Grabher with three goals and a pair of assists.

"It was a team effort on offense and defense, we definitely bounced back from the last game," said BBA coach Jason Pergament. "The boys came in with something to prove."

Senior Max Pagnucco reached a personal milestone on the day, tallying his 100th career assist.

BBA travels to face Brattleboro on Tuesday night at Natowich Field.
