Bennington Subway robbed at gunpoint
BENNINGTON — Police are investigating an armed robbery at Subway Sandwich Shop on North Street.
Bennington Police said they responded to the restaurant on Friday at 11:45 p.m. where it was reported than a lone person entered the store and pointed a pistol at the two employees working there, demanding money from the cash register. The person was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood over a baseball cap, a black scarf over the bottom part of their face, blue denim pants with wide stripes down the sides, gray sneakers with black soles, and black gloves with a gray pattern on the back.
The person fled the building on foot after getting the cash. No one was injured. Bennington Police Detective Lawrence Cole is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 802-442-1030.
The store was robbed at knifepoint as recently as July.
