Bennington native promoted to chief master sergeant in U.S. Air Force

BENNINGTON >> Henry E. Brown Jr. has been promoted to the rank of chief master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.

Brown is currently serving as the security forces manager for the 799th Security Forces Squadron, Creech Air Force Base, Nev. He has served in the military for 24 years. Brown is the son of Henry E. Brown and Carol J. Brown, both of Bennington, husband of Lori A. Brown, of Bellevue, Neb., and father of Kyleigh.

He is a 1990 graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. He earned his master's degree in 2013 from American Military University in Charles Town, W. Va.
