Bennington Area VNA & Hospice seeking volunteers


BENNINGTON >> The Bennington Area VNA & Hospice will be starting up its spring course for hospice volunteer training. This training will begin March 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center's Women's and Children's Conference Room, and will run for nine consecutive Thursdays. The training is free and open to the public.

In the home, hospital and nursing facilities, hospice care volunteers provide support to people with life limiting illnesses and their families. The volunteer training will include an introduction to hospice care, education on death, dying and grief, and the development of communication and support skills.

Space is limited, preregistration is requested.
