'Baby Love' running at Oldcastle this weekend


BENNINGTON -- The Oldcastle Theatre Company, a professional Equity theater at 331 Main St. in Bennington proudly presents Melissa Hurst's one-woman show "Baby Love" on Saturday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m.

This play is a funny, moving, irreverent tale about what it means to be a family. Eric Peterson, the Artistic Director for the Oldcastle Theatre says: "Melissa's one-woman play is a tender, touching and often funny look at the perils and joys of adoption It is a play for anyone who wants to be a parent or has had a parent Audience members from teens to folks in their eighties sang the show's praises." It is a human story that touches the hearts of everyone who watches it.

This is not Melissa's first time at Oldcastle. She most recently appeared as Rud in "A Strange Disappearance of Bees." She has also appeared in "Picnic," "I'm Not Rappoport," "On Golden Pond" and "Our Town." In addition to her theatrical credits, she has also appeared on TV in "Law and Order" and "The Guiding Light." Michelle appeared opposite Michael Emerson in the film "Goldstar, Ohio." Tickets are $20 for general admission, $10 for students and are available by phone at (802)-447-0564.
