Arrest follows Pownal accident

BENNINGTON — A Pownal woman was cited for drug-related driving while under the influence after her vehicle went off Route 7 and down an embankment near the Pownal-Bennington line around 6:26 p.m. Tuesday, state police reported.

Trooper Justin Walker said in a release that Stacy Fuhlbrigge, 29, was arrested after her vehicle went over an embankment near Armstrong's farmstand on Route 7.

Walker said that when he arrived he observed signs of drug impairment in the driver. Fuhlbrigge agreed to perform field sobriety exercises, during which she showed several clues of impairment, the trooper said. He said Fuhlbrigge was taken into custody for suspicion of drug-related DUI and was further screened by a drug recognition expert at the Shaftsbury Field Station.

She was released with a citation to appear in Bennington County Superior Court Criminal Division on the charge.
