Arlington students honored at breakfast
ARLINGTON >> Arlington Memorial High School & Middle School celebrated the academic accomplishments of several students during the annual Student Awards Breakfast. Principal Tim Stewart, Curriculum Director Dr. Luisa Millington and Guidance Director Joanna Lederer-Barnes welcomed the students and families and presented awards to AP Scholars, Bromley Honors Scholars and Johns Hopkins Scholars.
AP Scholars—Nine AMHS students were named AP Scholars in 2015 based on the scores they received on their Advanced Placement exams. Seven have graduated; two were recognized during the breakfast and received a leather, AMHS-engraved padfolio and pen: Brandon Gamble and Andrew Spencer.
Bromley Honors Scholars—Each of these AMHS students earned high honors/principal honors recognition during all four academic quarters in 2014-2015. They received a free 2015/2016 season pass to Bromley Mountain Ski Resort: Katheryn Berger, Charlie Crawford, Ricky Davis, Brandon Gamble, Jamie Keel, Colin Lawler, Sofia Luciano, Gracie Smith.
Johns Hopkins Scholars—Each of these middle school students scored a Level 4 on the SBAC test and received a JHS sweatshirt: Arianna Barrios, Tess Belnap, Walter Berger, Jaden Cross, Audrianna Ennis, Emma Hoover, Caitlin Hunnefield, Emma James, Mackenzie Paligo, Sonya Snow, Lewis Whalen.
Stewart congratulated the students on their achievement and thanked Bromley Mountain Ski Resort for their support of area schools. "We are always happy to recognize our students for their academic successes, and we appreciate the ongoing support of community members like Bromley Mountain who have provided these passes for years."
