Scheduled power interruption

Green Mountain Power crews need to interrupt electric service to more than 1,700 customers in Pownal late Friday night, Sept. 30 and lasting into early Saturday morning, Oct. 1, so they can safely make repairs and perform maintenance on the transmission system and the substation to increase reliability for customers. The outage is scheduled to begin at 11:45 p.m. Friday night and last until approximately 4 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1. It will impact nearly the entire town, with the exception of Tower Road, Roizin Road, and the northern portion of Strohmaier Road.

In case of inclement weather, the outage will be postponed until the following day, late night Oct. 1 into early morning Oct. 2, at the same time.
