HYDE PARK (AP) - New court documents allege that a Hyde Park, Vt., woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death after a night of heavy drinking told another person hours earlier that she wanted to kill someone.

The Burlington Free Press reports that the comments were included in documents prosecutors provided to the court Thursday. They included a sworn statement from a Morrisville man, who says he was drinking with 23-year-old Jeanette Maxfield the afternoon before she's accused of killing 49-year-old Christopher Cafferky. The man told investigators Maxfield said instead of wanting to go to school to better herself, she wanted to kill somebody.

Maxfield's lawyer says his client has not confessed to the stabbing, and that he will recommend tight bail conditions that would take into account her mental illness.
