MANCHESTER — The Burr and Burton girls lacrosse team is moving on to the quarterfinals of the Division I tournament.
In their first round matchup on Wednesday afternoon, the No. 6 seed Bulldogs edged No. 11 seed Brattleboro 10-9 to advance to the round of eight.
Senior Cat Greenberg scored a team-high four goals in the victory for BBA.
Junior Jessica Forstmann scored three goals, while dishing out two assist in the Bulldogs in win.
Aggie Bisselle and Bella Dworkin also each recorded two BBA assists in win with both scoring a goal as well.
Lydia Morgantin scored a goal and dished out an assist in the BBA win too.
With the win, BBA improved to 10-6 on the season.
The Bulldogs will now move on to face No. 3 seed Champlain Valley in the quarterfinals on Saturday at 4 p.m.
College lacrosse camp upcoming
BENNINGTON >> Former Mount Anthony and current University of Arizona assistant men's lacrosse coach Paul Reif will return to Vermont for a two-week clinic this summer, starting on June 21st-23rd and then on 27th-29th from 5-7 p.m. at Willow Park.
The camp will consist of six 2-hour college-style practices conducted by current and former college coaches and players. The focus will be on advanced individual and team skills, including terminology and concepts.
There will be individual evaluations and information on the recruiting process.
The camp will take place at Willow Park and is for high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors. The cost is $100 for field players and $50 for goalies.

BBA football camp
MANCHESTER >> The Sparxx Athletics football camp for youth players will run from July 11 to 14 at Taylor Field on the campus of Burr and Burton Academy.
The camp, which goes each day from 5 to 8 p.m., will showcase the top college and high school football players in the area in a hands-on experience to improve the grassroots of football.
The cost to attend the camp is $100, and $125 after June 1.

ARLINGTON >> Retired Arlington and Castleton soccer coach John Werner will again be running soccer camps locally. Werner and his experienced staff are committed to providing a quality camp experience, with the emphasis on learning and fun, at a reasonable cost.

The Battenkill Soccer Camp for those entering grades 1 through 8 will be held the week of July 18 from 9 a.m. until noon at Greenwich Central School in Greenwich, N.Y. This camp emphasizes the technical development of each player as well as small group tactics. The co-director is Coach Tim Kelleher, Greenwich varsity boys coach.
The Arlington Soccer Camp for those entering grades 1 through 8 will be held the week of Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. until noon at Arlington High School. This camp also emphasizes the technical development of each player as well as small group tactics.
The Arlington Senior Soccer Camp for those entering grades 9 through 12 will be held the week of Aug. 1 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Arlington High School. This camp includes position specific training.
