DALTON, MASS. — Bridget Ahearn scored five goals to lead Mount Anthony to its eighth straight victory on Monday, this one a 7-6 win over Wahconah.

Emily Altland added two goals and an assist, while Brianna Zipprich pitched in with an assist.

Carly Plaisance added 10 saves for MAU, who are now 9-1.

MAU travels to Applejack Field for a game under the lights against Burr and Burton on Wednesday night.

Patriots crush Greylock

WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. >> The Mount Anthony softball team got three homers in a 17-7 rout of Mount Greylock.

Taylor DiCranian had the big blow with a grand slam and five RBI as part of a 3-for-5 night.

Marleigh Greene added a solo homer and Cat Worthington smashed a two-run dinger, her third in three games.

Kaity O'Brien was 3-for-6 with a double and two singles and two RBI. DiCranian got the win in the circle.

MAU is 8-1 and travels to Rutland today.

Bulldogs fall to South Burlington

SOUTH BURLINGTON >> The Burr and Burton boys lacrosse team dropped a 10-7 decision on the road at South Burlington on Monday. BBA trailed the entire game after a scoreless first quarter, before scoring twice in the second, twice in the third and three in the fourth.

Kyle Murakami led the Rebels with four goals. BBA drops to 5-3 on the season and travels to face Mount Greylock on Wednesday.


Burr and Burton bagels Hartford

HARTFORD >> The Burr and Burton boys tennis team shut out Hartford on Monday, 7-0.

Sam Cochrane, Justin Tegen, Justin Walla, Nick Plants and Uri Vall all won in straight sets for the Bulldogs in singles.

The doubles teams of Lorenz Uhl and Alex Charette and Michael Hollingshead and Aidan Shaw-Pigeon won in straight sets as well.

BBA (6-3) travels to Fair Haven for a doubleheader today.

Conety leads Panthers to sectional berth

HOOSICK, N.Y. >> The Hoosick Falls baseball team clinched a sectional berth with a 2-0 win over Stillwater on Monday.

Noah Conety tossed a gem on the mound with a complete-game one hitter with six strikeouts. Ryan Sanders had two hits and an RBI, while Wyatt Whitman had an RBI hit as well.

The Panthers play Greenwich today, then will complete a suspended game against Granville afterward.

Panthers split with Stillwater

HOOSICK, N.Y. >> The Hoosick Falls softball team split a doubleheader against Stillwater on Monday, winning the first 7-4, while dropping the second, 7-6.

Erika Quackenbush had three hits, including two homers and four RBI in the two games, while Mackenzie Ellis had three hits in the double dip.

The Panthers are 3-7 in the Wasaren League and 5-11 overall.

Greenwich tops Hoosick

HOOSICK, N.Y. >> The Hoosick Falls boys lacrosse team fell to Greenwich, 22-5, on Monday. Noah LaBarge scored four of the Panthers' goals, while Guy Milliman added the fifth.

Michael Sprague took the loss in goal for the Panthers, who host Johnstown on Thursday.

BBA edges Rutland

RUTLAND -- The Burr and Burton girls lacrosse team took an early lead and held on to a 14-12 win over Rutland on Monday.

Shayla Heekin led the Bulldogs with five goals and an assist, while Bella Dworkin and Jessie Forstmann each had four goals and a helper.

Cat Greenberg scored the other goal and Aggie Bisselle and Olivia Watanabe each added assists.

Marina Rotella and Alyssa Sabotka combined for nine goals for the Raiders.
