LUDLOW >> The Arlington Memorial High School girls basketball team got a nice road victory on Monday night, with a 45-26 victory over Black River.

Junior Riley Lane led the way for the Eagles, scoring a game-high 11 points in the contest.

Senior Maggie Murphy was also in double figures on the night for Arlington, scoring 10 points in the paint to help the Eagles get the victory.

With the win Arlington improves to 7-11 on the season.

The Eagles have two more games left in the regular season, with the first one being next Tuesday when they host Proctor at 6:30 p.m.

Hoosick Falls girls basketball team win season finale

SELKIRK, N.Y. >> The Hoosick Falls Central School girls basketball team won their regular season finale on Monday night, with a 47-37 win over Ravena.

The Panthers had two players with double-doubles on the night, the first being Megan Flynn, who had a team-high 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The second player in double figures in the game for Hoosick Falls was Kelly Pine, who like Flynn had 11 rebounds and scored 15 points to help the Panther's 18th win of the season.

With the win Hoosick Falls improve to 18-2 on the season.

The Panthers will find out who they play next in the Section II, Class B tournament, when seedings are announced on Wednesday.

Indians roar past Berlin


CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. >> In their regular season finale, the Cambridge Central School boys basketball team scored a season-high 80 points in their 21 point victory against Berlin.

The Indians had three players in double figures to help them win their seventh game of the season.

First off was Daniel Genevick, who scored a game-high 28 points, followed up by Shawn Lemieux who pitched in 18 points with sophomore Brenden Holcomb adding 14 points in the win for Cambridge.

With the win the Indians improve to 7-13 on the season.

Cambridge will await their playoff fate come Wednesday when the Section II, Class C, seedings are announced.
