PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) -- Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus can begin focusing on getting in shape for practice now that he’s returned to training camp.
The Bills announced Dareus had arrived at the team’s camp facility in suburban Rochester, New York, on Tuesday, a day after his flight was canceled because of bad weather.
Dareus was excused to attend a court hearing in Alabama on Monday. He agreed to enter an NFL substance abuse program to have two felony drug charges dismissed.
Dareus was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in May.
The 2011 first-round draft pick has missed three practices and remains on the active/non-football injury list after failing a conditioning test Saturday.
Dareus must pass the test before he can be cleared for practice.
