BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Mount Anthony Union High School track team set personal and school records at the New England championships at Bridgewater State University on Saturday.
Senior Leniesha Williams ran the 200 meter dash in 26.25 seconds -- setting a new Mount Anthony record. She finished 21st out of 28 competitors, but less than 0.4 of a second out of the top 10. Williams finished 20th out of 30 in the 100 meters in 12.76 seconds.
Williams also anchored the 4x100 relay -- with teammates Raheemah Madany, Taylor Gruber and Chelsea Corrow -- that ran a personal best 49.90 seconds to finish seventh out of 24 schools.
They finished second in their heat, 0.07 seconds behind Danbury, Conn. Other competitors taking part in the regionals included Andrew Brandmeyer, who was 13th in the 400 meters in 51.36 seconds. Andy Seward was 18th out of 24 in the 800 meters in 2:00.47, while Sierra Dickie was 23rd in the 400 meters in 1:02.70.
Lax camp registration
BENNINGTON -- The Southern Vermont Youth Lacrosse Camp for boys will be held from July 14 to July 17 at Willow Park in Bennington.
Boys from kindergarten through second grade will go from 9 a.m to 11 a.m. with a registration fee of $75, while grade three through 10 will go from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for a registration fee of $150.

Benn Basketball School looking for campers
BENNINGTON -- Mount Anthony Union High School boys basketball coach Dan Sleeman is still accepting basketball players for his Benning Basketball School for Boys camp. The program will run from July 7 through July 11. Age group 12-15 will practice from 8 a.m. to noon, while the 7-11 age group will run from 1 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
This is the 43rd year of the Benningon Basketball School.

Lady Patriots basketball
BENNINGTON -- The Lady Patriot Basketball School will run the week of July 14 through the 18th at Mount Anthony Union High School for players between the ages of 7 and 14.

SVC basketball camp
BENNINGTON -- Registration is open for the Southern Vermont College basketball camp. Interested boys and girls entering grades 3 to 11 can sign up by going to the SVC website and downloading a camp brochure.
The camp will run four separate weeks: June 30 to July 2, July 14 to 18, July 21 to 25 and August 4 to 8. Each day’s session goes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with Friday from the last three weeks ending at noon.
