FAIR HAVEN -- The Mount Anthony Union High School girls basketball team used a buzzer-beating drive by Kate Goodell to top Fair Haven 57-55 on the road on Monday night.
The Patriots were led by Kathryn Frasier with 12 points, while Carly Rogers scored seven of her 11 points in the fourth quarter to help decide the outcome.
Elizabeth Fyles led all scorers with a career-high 22 points for Fair Haven in the losing effort.
MAU moves to 10-2 on the year, while Fair Haven falls to 8-2.
Eagles top Chieftans
CHESTER -- Hitting the road on Monday night, the Arlington Memorial High School girls basketball team topped Green Mountain 67-55 behind a red-hot third quarter shooting the basketball.
Up only three at the half, Arlington hit seven threes in the third quarter to take a comfortable lead heading into the fourth before coasting the rest of the way.
Julia Lacoste led the Eagles in scoring, dropping 23 points, while Molly Elwell added 16 for Arlington on the night. Becca Solari and Avery Bucchieri added nine each.
"We started out slow and sluggish," said AMHS coach Larry Andrews. "In the third, we came out guns ablazing. We just took care of the basketball at the end."
Arlington moves to 5-5 with the win, and plays again on Thursday at Leland and Gray.

Mack Attack AAU sign-ups
ARLINGTON -- The Mack Attack AAU girls’ basketball season will begin practicing on March 9, and sign-ups are ongoing.
The team provides participants with an opportunity to improve basketball skills and knowledge through a challenging level of play.
